General Nature of Work or Job Summary
· The rural farm worker population served is primarily non-English speaking migrant and seasonal farm workers
· Performs advanced nursing functions and healthcare services.
· Operates under a written nurse protocol agreement with delegating physician
· This position may work some evenings and weekends
· May participate in health fairs, serve on committees, make presentations, and respond to disasters.
· Evaluates for compliance with guidelines and protocols
· May serve on various committees and workgroups
· Works with community partners to identify needs and helps assure delivery of services needed
· Responds to Public Health Emergencies
Master's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and/or other education requirements approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing and certification in the specialty area(s) approved by Georgia Board of Nursing and Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse and Georgia license as an APRN and CPR certification. (Please mail or bring a copy of College Transcript or Diploma to Interview—must have official transcript prior to start date). Physical Requirements include occasional lifting of up to 45 lbs.
· Previous employment with any state’s Department of Public Health or a County Board of Health
· Experience with performing physical exams on males and females, including genitalia
· Experience working with migrant populations
· Prenatal Care experience
· Bilingual (English and Spanish)

This position may require driving company vehicles (Valid driver’s license required) and working some evenings and weekends during special events such as health fairs and responding to disasters. Selected applicant must consent to a motor vehicle record assessment. Points should be less than 10 and/or not negatively impact insurance rates for the agency. Drug screen, criminal background check and immunization records may be required. If selected, male applicants between 18 and 26 years of age must present proof of Selective Service Registration.
