Part-Time Police Officer - Evenings
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Ogeechee Technical College is seeking a Part-Time Police Officer (Evenings). Under general supervision, patrols assigned areas and ensures security and safety of campus buildings and grounds for the college. Major duties include:
· Manages traffic flow and enforces parking regulations.
· Investigates traffic incidents, vandalism, theft and/or violence.
· Performs administrative duties.
· May arrest perpetrators of crimes.
· Will be required to perform routine building checks as well as lock and secure all campus buildings each evening.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· High School diploma or equivalent
· POST certification
· Valid Georgia driver’s license
· Ability to differentiate colors
· Ability to work well with others
· Available to work evening and/weekend shifts
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Previous work experience in an educational setting
· Prior law enforcement experience
SALARY/BENEFITS:
$40 Per Hour/ No Benefits
