Part-time Client Support (DSP)
Job Summary
Assists with daily living activities in a daytime non-residential facility. Provides training of basic personal and social skills, simple academics, or work skills to clients in a workshop, the community or supported employment environment.
General Duties & Responsibilities
- Assists in presentation of educational group lectures related to appropriate topics
- Cares for individuals and families during period of incapacitation, providing companionship, personal care, and help in adjusting to new lifestyles
- Instructs clients on daily living skills in one-on-one or group instruction
- May advise clients on behavioral problems, daily decision-making, and the resolution of minor problems
- Participates in case reviews and ISP meetings
- Prepares and maintains records of client progress and services performed, reporting changes in client condition to manager or supervisor
- Provides transportation for clients to appointments and activities
- Work hours will be 12:30 pm - 5:30 pm, Monday - Friday
High school diploma/GED and six (6) months of relevant job-related training or experience.
