GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) is a state organization dedicated to partnering with communities to help create a climate of success for Georgia's families and businesses. OVERVIEW OF JOB
The Operations Support Analyst works under general supervision to process and manage statistical, financial, and operational data and reports that support the Housing Finance and Development Division (HFDD). This role involves tracking revenues, discrepancies, and variances to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of HFDD operations. The analyst will deliver data and reports to program leadership and management, collaborate closely with the Business Support Analyst, and coordinate with other staff to report and provide data across various business functions.  If a potential candidate is not a notary, they will be required to receive a Notary stamp after onboarding for this role, with all expenses reimbursed.
This position will be fully in-office at the DCA Central Office, with the potential to work 1 day remotely over a 2-week period.  Work hours are flexible, so long as a minimum of 8 hours are worked during the core business hours for this role (7:00 am to 7:00 pm).

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Associate degree in Business or related field from an accredited college or university

AND

two (2) years of experience related to the area of assignment. Note: An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to perform the job at the level listed successfully may be substituted year-over-year.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Manage, track, and submit or process invoices and checks
  • Assist with preparing travel requests and expenses
  • Monitor reports for discrepancies and documents or resolve issues
  • Contribute to the development and reporting of revenue reports
  • Support data entry and cleanup tasks to ensure consistency and quality across systems
  • Prioritize, track, and manage multiple tasks, ensuring effective execution of assigned tasks and projects. 
  • Communicate effectively to convey ideas, issues, and goals, and interface effectively and professionally with department staff, external partners, 

    and agency representatives.

  • Data entry within multiple software databases
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skilled use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Pro.
  • Interface effectively and professionally with department staff, external partners, and Agency representatives.


    PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
     
  • Knowledge of the Federal Low-Income Housing Tax Credit, HOME Program, and other HUD-funded programs
  • Ability to review and comprehend technical documents such as federal housing regulations and associated policies and procedures
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to use available information to develop viable action items in compliance with the agency’s policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to respond appropriately in challenging situations and serve as a resource to team members and internal/external stakeholders
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Ability to assess and evaluate internal controls for programs and processes;
  • Ability to present ideas, facts, conclusions, and recommendations clearly, concisely, and logically, both orally and in writing

WORKING CONDITIONS (TRAVEL,HOURS,ENVIRONMENT)
This position is currently designated as an in-office position.  This position is full-time (40 hours per week) and may require occasional overtime.  Local periodic travel may be required. 


PHYSICAL / SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Work is principally stationary, but the person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc., and constantly operates a computer and other office equipment.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Must be able to perform office-related duties.
Must be able to operate office equipment.
Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, tenants, and community agencies and other entities that provide services.
Must be able to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be able to perform essential job functions in an environment that will sometimes include increased levels of work-related stress.
Must maintain punctuality and attendance as scheduled.
