JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Under close supervision, perform duties related to the layout, preparation, sheeting, printing, and distribution of directional and informational road signs.
· Fabricate digitally printed images and cut, weed, and apply vinyl symbols, legends, and borders for roadway signage production.
· Operate laminators, plotters, and digital printers.
· Operate machinery used to apply or remove reflective sheeting on metal sign blanks.
· Package and inventory completed signs and complete all associated forms and reports as required.
· Assemble and bolt large 12-inch extruded panels.
· Operate a forklift when necessary.
· Read and interpret a tape measure accurately and understand measurements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The selected candidate must meet the advertised minimum qualifications to include State Entry Qualifications as well as Agency Specific Qualifications
STATE ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:
· High school diploma or GED.
AGENCY SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:
· Possesses eye-Hand Coordination necessary in operating digital printing press and other machinery.
· Possesses the physical strength and agility to bend, climb, and lift heavy objects.
· Demonstrated experience understanding and following oral instructions.
· Possesses the physical strength to lift or assist in lifting heavy equipment and to perform moderately laboring work.
· Possesses the physical strength ability to perform repetitive tasks effectively over a long period of time.
AGENCY REQUIRED COMPETENCIES: (KSAs)
· Ability to read and comprehend shop drawings and special details at an advanced level.
· Knowledge of the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD).
· Ability to read, write, and comprehend material essential to this position.
· Ability to understand and apply shop manual settings, diagrams, capacities, and instructions.
· Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
· Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.
· Strong customer orientation.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Good Employment Standing:

Actions that may disqualify an applicant include letters of reprimand (active for 12 months after issuance date); suspension without pay or disciplinary demotion (active for 12 months from the effective date); Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) and Leave Restriction Plans (active until 12 months after the date of conclusion). In addition, an employee must have an overall ePerformance rating score of three (3) or higher on their most current evaluation. Please note that Memorandums of Concern are not considered disqualifying factors. Human Resources may remove any employee from consideration for selection who is pending a disciplinary action; however, if the action is resolved in the employee’s favor, he or she will be allowed to compete.
