  • Manages, plans, organizes, and directs all nursing activities in assigned facility.
  • Responsible for the quality of nursing care delivered in hospitals, public health facilities, and community-based programs. 
  • Directs subordinate supervisors and staff. Acts as Campus Supervisor may re-assign staff based on critical needs..
  • Completes staffing assignments, i.e. work schedules/assigns training schedules etc. and other administrative tasks for the work area.. Provides recognition and critical performance feedback to staff..
  • Completes Annual Performance 
  • Evaluations.. Approves time off requests; completes Kronos timecard reconciliation and sign off..
  • Responsible for the delivery of quality nursing care..
  • Ensures that procedures are followed for incident management and reporting.. Works with Schedulers to cover critical shifts due to callouts, acuity.. 
  • Observe nurses to ensure that proper nursing care is provided..
  • Manages, plans, organizes, and directs all nursing activities for assigned area.. 
  • Coordinate response to disaster and emergencies..
  • Develop and manage the budget and make cost effective decisions..
  • Develop policy, set standards and plan objectives for the nursing program in accordance with established policies..
  • Develop staffing patterns.. 
  • Evaluate nursing standards and nurse protocols for all nursing programs.. Initiate and participate in the development of community wide policy to improve the health status of the stakeholder.. Interpret policy and communicate changes in regulations and procedures..
  • Make long-range plans and regularly review activities, problems and functions of services being delivered.. 
  • Organize and plan a systematic and continuous quality/performance improvement program for the practice of nursing.. 
  • Oversee the collection of data for statistical records.
  • Masters with one year of experience OR Bachelors degree with two years of experience, OR eight years of experience
Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of experience as Registered Nurse, two (2) years of which in an administrative or supervisory capacity and current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse; or eight (8) years of experience at the lower level as a Registered Nurse (HCP073) or position equivalent, two (2) years of which in an environment related to the area of assignment, three (3) years of which as a supervisor and current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse.
