Min Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting and three (3) years of professional accounting job-related experience, which includes one (1) year in a supervisory role; or two (2) years of experience at the lower-level Accountant Spv (FIP024) or equivalent position.
Preferred qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess one or more of the following:
• Financial software experience (i.e. PeopleSoft, Workday, SAP, Oracle NetSuite)
• Knowledge of State of Georgia Travel Policy
• Experience in using Concur as a user and as an approver
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable
Comments: Duties of the position include but not limited to:
• Supervises subordinate employees in our accounts payable department
• Review AP vouchers for release
• Print AP Checks to be mailed out
• Complete a reconciliation of Accounts Payable and Travel accounts
• Enter adjustment vouchers on an as needed basis
• Run and analyze accounting queries to ensure vouchers are coded correctly
• Serves as Travel Administrator for the Georgia Department of Corrections
This position is located in Forsyth, GA (Monroe County), at State Offices South at Tift College.
