POSITION: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) Academic Coordinator of Clinical Education (ACCE) and Instructor
REPORTS TO: Dean of Allied Health
SALARY: Upper $80’s to $90K annually, depending on education, qualifications, and experience

POSITION OVERVIEW:
This position offers a unique opportunity to combine clinical coordination and teaching in a supportive academic environment. The ASN ACCE plays a vital role in helping students successfully transition into professional nursing practice while building strong partnerships with healthcare organizations across the region.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The ASN ACCE coordinates, negotiates, and arranges clinical experiences that meet ASN Program requirements while also providing instruction within the curriculum. Instruction may occur at multiple campus locations, as needed.
Clinical placements include hospitals, community health settings, schools, long-term care facilities, home care agencies, and psychiatric nursing facilities throughout the Lanier Technical College service area. Responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with clinical sites, coordinating Clinical Instructors (CIs), maintaining clinical contracts, and placing students in appropriate clinical settings.
The ASN ACCE directs, coaches, mentors, and evaluates students in classroom, simulation, and clinical environments and participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing education program.
May provide clinical instruction as needed during spring, summer, and/or fall semesters. Clinical rotations typically last 10 weeks in spring and fall and 8 weeks in summer, with assignments in healthcare systems and outpatient facilities in Forsyth and Hall counties.
Occasional travel may be required. The ASN ACCE also assists the ASN Program Director and faculty with ACEN accreditation activities, with additional duties assigned by the Dean.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
(As defined by the GBON Rules & Regulations, Rule 410-8-.05. Faculty)
• Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution
• Current, unencumbered Georgia RN licensure in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years’ work experience in teaching, curriculum development, and administration in an Associate level prelicensure Nursing program OR
• 3 years of full-time post-licensure clinical practice
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including day and occasional/infrequent evening hours
• Ability to participate in staff development and College activities
• Ability to supervise diverse student populations in classroom and clinical settings
• Ability to develop and evaluate lesson plans and select instructional materials
• Ability to assess student progress and competency achievement
• Ability to manage administrative responsibilities related to teaching, accreditation, and reporting
• Ability to manage clinical site coordination, student advisement, and related documentation
• Ability to work collaboratively and maintain professional relationships with students, faculty, staff, and clinical partners
• Proficiency with work-related computer systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Effective verbal and written communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (in addition to minimum qualifications and competencies):
• Clinical or educational administration experience;
• Recent electronic health record experience;
• Current membership in a professional Nursing organization;
• Previous teaching experience in a post-secondary environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to stand for extended periods (classroom and clinical instruction)
• Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds with assistance
