Lanier Technical College – Adult Education Department - Hall Campus (www.laniertech.edu) is conducting a search for the following part-time, non-benefits eligible, FLSA non-exempt position. POSITION:                ADULT EDUCATION ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT                     
REPORTS TO:          Dean of Adult Education
WAGE RATE:           $15/hour; up to 19.5 hours per week.
EFFECTIVE DATE:    The position is available now

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for daily data entry, helping students with registration/orientation, ensuring effective customer service and operation of the center, and other clerical duties including light receptionist work.  Must demonstrate superb communication and computer skills.  Being organized, efficient, and attentive to detail is mandatory.   
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Six (6) months of work experience in an office work environment.

COMPETENCIES:
• Skill in the use of computers and job-related software
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Effective interpersonal relationship skills
• Ability to maintain accurate records
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (in addition to minimum qualifications and competencies):

Post-secondary education in a business or accounting-related field

Bilingual language skills

Previous work experience in Adult Education, specifically High School Equivalency Programs
