Job Responsibilities

  • CT Associate Manager - Job ResponsibilitiesOversees the OD2A Opioids Testing project. 

  • Supervises the Chemical Threat laboratory personnel. 

  • Validates, implements, and maintains opioids drug testing.

  • Validates, implements, and maintains Blood Lead and Laboratory Response Network Chemical Threat (LRN-C) methods.

  • Trains and cross-trains staff in all CT methods.

  • Performs laboratory testing of clinical samples for opioids, blood lead and chemical threat agents.

  • Ensures staff competencies are documented and up to date.

  • Reviews laboratory testing data and reports for validity and accuracy.

  • Reviews and revises laboratory procedure manuals.

  • Manages inventory of supplies and reagents.

  • Assists with managing budgets.

  • Performs high complexity testing on LC-QTOF, ICP-MS, GC-MSD, and LC-MS/MS.

  • Implements and ensures compliance with DPH and GPHL Quality Assurance procedures and policies.

  • Employs and participates in workforce development activities.

  • Oversees compliance with biosafety and security procedures.

  • Prepares for and responds to emergency events.

  • Adheres to HIPPA safety and security policies.Adheres to HIPPA safety and security policies.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree in a related science area from an accredited college or university, certification as a Medical Technologist, MT (ASCP), and four (4) years of job-related science experience; or two (2) years of experience at the lower level Medical/Clinical Specialist 3 (LSP012) or equivalent position.

DPH accepts educational credentials recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) as valid. DPH will contact educational institutions to verify degrees, diplomas, licensures, and other relevant credentials.
