The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) is seeking highly qualified applicants for their full-time   JVSG Program Manager position in the Office of Workforce Development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Operates under the supervision of the Grants and Strategic Populations Assistant Director and provides oversight and                   leadership to state-level JVSG staff, ensuring compliance with federal mandates.

·       Supports the Grants and Strategic Populations Assistant Director in overseeing staff performance, professional development, and        training needs, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to JVSG and workforce development standards.

·       Assists the Grants and Strategic Populations Assistant Director in developing and issuing policy guidance and program directives           to support staff in the effective delivery of JVSG services, ensuring alignment with the Office of Workforce Development (OWD)            system.

·       Manages assigned aspects of the federal grant, including the preparation and submission of quarterly narrative reports,           support in developing annual grant applications, and monitoring program performance standards and compliance                       requirements.

·       Provides direct technical assistance, mentoring, and guidance to staff and workforce development partners to enhance their             capacity in serving veterans and other eligible persons.

·       Builds and maintains strong partnerships with community leaders, employers, training providers, and veteran service                            organizations to expand employment and training opportunities for veterans and eligible persons.

·       Coordinates with other OWD and TCSG teams and leadership to promote collaborative service delivery, resource sharing,              and avoidance of duplication of efforts.

·       Ensures program compliance with federal and state regulations, including adherence to TEGLs, VPLs, and 20 CFR requirements              governing JVSG and Wagner-Peyser services.

·       Position requires frequent in-state travel (and occasional out-of-state travel), including overnight stays, and availability to work         evenings and weekends as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

·       Candidate must be an eligible veteran.* (Applicants must provide proof of being a qualified, eligible veteran by including a               copy of your DD-214 along with a current application/résumé. Applicants who fail to submit the appropriate supporting               documentation will be required to provide these documents, if selected to interview for the position.)

·       Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

·       3 years program administration or workforce development experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

·       Completion of an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Business                                       Administration, Human Services, Behavioral Sciences or a related field;

·       Two years of experience working with Veterans Programs to include monitoring and  program review, and knowledge of Veterans’           Priority of Service;

·       Two years of direct experience supervising Veterans Program staff;

·       Three years of experience leading/facilitating groups in order to instruct or provide information;

·       Experience managing federal programs/grant management;

·       Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

·       Knowledge of WIOA, Wagner-Peyser, or JVSG programs.

·       Ability to travel, including evenings and weekends.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORK CONDITIONS

·       Work is primarily performed in an office environment during standard business hours. Limited remote work may be available in          accordance with agency policy and operational needs.

·       Work performance involves light physical duties, including intermittent sitting, standing, and walking.

·       Employees must be able to lift up to ten (10) pounds
