Under general supervision, the IT Security Compliance Analyst plans, directs and coordinates agency activities in Information Technology, specifically in the field of Information Security.

Develops and enforces the organization's security policies and procedures, information security awareness program, the security information portion of the business continuity and disaster recovery plans, and all industry and government compliances issues.

 Incorporates the design of and develops security procedures to allow the deployment, management, control updating of platform and user specific security policies on a diverse range of internal hardware platforms supporting various software operating systems.

Conducts risk management analysis to identify areas of risk and to develop security measures to prevent losses.

Monitors use of data files and regulate access to safeguard information in computer files.

Works with business owners, IT managers, staff, and vendors in order to provide timely and efficient IT coordination of security services to meet agency needs.

May create reports on status of agency information security programs and projects.

May be required to communicate to senior executives through oral and written reports and presentations.

Develops and implements IT system security plans, projects and initiatives.

Plans, implements, manages and coordinates security measures and controls for information systems to regulate access to computer data and prevent unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure of information.

Designs and implements encryption systems for the protection of data, data storage, and transmission paths. Installs, maintains, and supports the information security products and/or services.

May serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) representing the agency on all issues relating to agency information security.

 Performs risk management analysis to identify areas of risk and to develop security measures to prevent losses.

Performs other duties assigned.

Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, information assurance, or a related field from an accredited college or university AND Five years of information technology experience, One year of which in information security or information assurance.Note: An equivalent combination of education and job specific experience that provided the knowledge, experience and competencies required to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted on a year-over-year basis.
