The IT Division is seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst III. This position plays a key role within the ITSG Business Support team, partnering with our seven internal divisions to understand business needs and contribute to the planning, design, and implementation of new or enhanced systems. The role also provides functional support for business tools and related support systems used across these divisions.
Success in this position requires a strong commitment to customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to represent the State of Georgia with credibility and professionalism.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Creating, documenting, and presenting business and functional requirements
Collaborating with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and validate information
Developing and coordinating testing to ensure solutions meet requirements
Managing workload effectively to meet priorities and deadlines
Entry Qualifications
High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of related experience~ Or two (2) years of experience at the lower-level IT Business Analyst 2-ITP061, or position equivalent.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholder groups to gather, analyze, and validate information.
Proven skill in researching and analyzing system and user issues to support clear, well-defined business and functional requirements.
Experience supporting testing efforts, resolving issues, and partnering with teams to ensure solutions meet documented requirements.
Demonstrated accountability and customer focus when addressing internal and external needs and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Results-driven approach with the ability to manage workload effectively, meet deadlines, and deliver efficient, high-quality problem resolution.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document and present complex information clearly and persuasively.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 Years of Georgia Tax Center (GTC) and Integrated Tax Solution (ITS) experience
- 2 Years of Fast Code Repository (FCR) for project tasks and documentation experience
- 2 Years of experience with SQR testing and data creation
Strong project management skills with the ability to administer multiple projects
Position Status & Pay Grade: Unclassified – Pay Grade L
Hiring Range: up to $70,000

Location: Century Center Office - This vacancy requires office hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Telework options are subject to change based on DOR policies and the ability to meet performance expectations.
