Location: Field-Based (Richmond, Muscogee, Bibb, Dougherty, Lowndes, Chatham and surrounding areas). *This position is remote based but will require extensive statewide travel.

Job Description:

Under limited supervision, the Infant Toddler Specialist Supervisor coordinates, supervises and monitors the activities of the Infant Toddler Specialists in an assigned region to strengthen and improve the quality of infant and toddler care through support, collaboration, and consultation with early care and education providers.  The Supervisor will serve as a subject-matter expert, coach, and mentor to the Infant Toddler Specialist. The south position will supervise specialists south of metro to include Richmond, Muscogee, Bibb, Dougherty, Lowndes, Chatham and surrounding areas.

Job Responsibilities:

·       Supervise daily activities and monitor the job performance of regional infant toddler specialists

·       Create, monitor, and evaluate performance management documents; provide coaching and support to address performance concerns

·       Assist in the development and monitoring of infant toddler specialist caseloads

·       Conduct quality assurance activities such as audits of training and on-site technical assistance activities

·       Provide guidance to infant toddler specialists, answer questions, and assist with problem resolution.

·       Plan/coordinate/provide onboarding activities, training, and feedback for all new staff

·       Provide regular in-services and other training for all infant toddler specialists

·       Achieve and maintain reliability in the administration and scoring of the

Infant and Toddler observation instruments, including but not limited to, Infant CLASS and Toddler CLASS

·       Serve as anchor on Infant CLASS and Toddler CLASS instruments

·       Assist in development and support of DECAL initiatives

·       Develop training modules, materials, and resources to support the work of the infant toddler specialists

·       Develop and conduct community and statewide trainings and presentations.

·       Review and approve travel and leave requests

Technical Competencies:

·       Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

·       Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work independently as well as in team environments

·       Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel

Agency Required Qualification:

 

·       High School diploma/GED and six (6) years of program management experience; or two (2) years of experience required at the lower level Education Prgrm Spec 2 (EDP031) or position equivalent. .

Agency Preferred Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or a closely related field and six (6) years of experience to include five (5) of those years working in an early care and education setting with infants and toddlers (0-3);

·       Master’s degree from an accredited college/university in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or a closely related field and four (4) years of experience to include three (3) of those years working in an early care and education setting with infants and toddlers (0-3);

·       Experience working with diverse populations;

·       Certification in the Program for Infant Toddler Care;

·       Familiarity with classroom quality assessment instruments such as the CLASS and ERS;

·       Knowledge of adult learning principles and extensive experience designing and delivering training and providing coaching and technical assistance to early childhood professionals.
