Job Title: HR Manager- Milledgeville, Ga.
Pay Grade: M
Job Summary:
Under limited supervision, directs and manages the Human Resources Management Department for Central State Hospital in Milledgeville, Georgia.
Handles responsibilities in the areas of, but not limited to, talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation/salary administration, change management, succession planning, position management, salary administration and is usually involved in many operational projects and initiatives to provide HR support and guidance. The HR Manager partners with leadership and at the local and State Office level as needed
Provides leadership in determining and implementing HR Department goals and strategies and embedding best practices to support the goals
Serves on the local leadership teams and on other work and planning teams and committees as requested
Sets priorities and determines best methods of providing services and ensure that regional HR needs are being met
Establishes strong partnerships with field line management
Note: Minimal traveling is required - no more than 10-15% for meetings and or trainings when required/necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in a field such as Human Resources Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, Industrial/Organization Psychology, Law or other related field
Experience leading, implementing and evaluating major strategic initiatives and processes in an HR environment
Experience in the areas of Recruitment, Compensation/Salary Administration and Human Resources Operations
Experience handling very sensitive and complex Employee Relations issues
Experience managing organizational change and/or project management
At least two years of recent healthcare experience, preferably in a hospital setting
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
