- Supervises and plans work for assigned staff. Answers questions from employees or management regarding personnel and payroll transactions.
- Calculates and initiates payroll computation and deductions and enter data into computer system.
- Coordinates hiring processes, ensuring all required forms are completed and all clearances are obtained. Develop and/or direct the development of personnel policies, procedures, and laws.
- Explains benefits and human resource policies to employees and authorized persons.
- Oversees staff in appropriately processing personnel transactions. Processes and issues employee paychecks and statements of earnings and deductions.
- Processes enrollments and changes and responds to questions regarding the benefit programs.
- Provides information to employees and others on payroll matters, tax issues, and benefit plans. Responds to questions and provides information regarding employment. Reviews computation and other information in order to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
- Verifies attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and post information onto designated records
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 2-3 years experience processing personnel actions using PeopleSoft, running queries, payroll, and managing the KRONOS Timekeeping Management System.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Work and PowerPoint.
- Experience providing training to managers and supervisors.
- Experience supervising and directing staff
