HR Generalist 3
Job Summary: The Employee Engagement Specialist will work to foster positive relationships across Customer Service Centers and Headquarters, addressing employee concerns, promoting a productive environment, and enhancing employee satisfaction. This role involves conflict resolution, HR policy guidance, and potentially mentoring other HR staff. Travel will be required 40% of the time. Work will primarily be performed at Conyers Headquarters, however, may be performed in a remote setting, depending on the location and team needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with employees across locations to resolve issues and improve morale.
- Mediate conflicts and provide coaching to managers.
- May conduct HR training on employee relations and company policies.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and maintain confidential records.
- Collaborate with HR team to support organizational initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned
Entry Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED and five (5) years of professional human resource experience, or one (1) year of experience at the lower-level HR Generalist 2 (HRP011) or equivalent position. Note: An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job, or intern experience, training, or certifications may be substituted year-over-year to meet the qualifications for this role.
- Ability to travel to various Customer Service Centers as needed.
Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to those applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, have:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, training and organizational development, business administration, public administration, instructional technology, education or a related field from an accredited college or university.
AND
- Two to Five years of experience in a related field, including roles such as HR coordinator, employee relations specialist, or HR team lead.
- Two or more years’ experience in conflict resolution, mediation, team building.
- Three to five years’ experience in local, state or federal government
Physical Requirements:
- Occasional lifting (up to 20 lbs.).
- Frequent travel (40%) to Customer Service Centers.
Driving Requirement: Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to drive to various Customer Service Centers throughout the State of Georgia as required for the role.
