Under broad supervision, performs any combination of duties to maintain order, sanitation and cleanliness in facilities. Maintains supplies as needed.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

·         Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision

·         Serves as job expert or organization resource in assigned areas

·         May supervise and/or direct the work of others

·         Cleans and straightens assigned areas

·         Ensures laundry, housekeeping and floor equipment is in good working condition

·         Maintains and stocks equipment and supplies as needed

·         Makes specialized clothing and other items ( restraining clothing, helmets, surgical gowns)

·         Mends and makes minor alterations to residents’ clothing and other items. Makes simple repairs to upholstery and mattresses

·         Observes requires safety precautions in disposing of contaminated refuse

·         Operates hand tools and power cleaning equipment

·         Plans, develops, schedules and implements laundry services

Entry Qualifications:

One year of experience as a lead worker in related area of assignment OR One year of experience at the lower-level Housekeeper 2 (FES041) or position equivalent.
