Functions as a working level HA and performs HA duties, assigned to a specific non-patient unit area at a state mental health hospital. Accompanies transportation of individuals off campus.. Under direction of the supervisor or TL may assist in the facilitation of group-based activities/therapies.. . Answer clients' call signals.. Assist in administration of medications and treatments, takes vital signs, and/or draws blood or collects other bodily fluids, as directed by a physician or nurse.. Bathe, groom, shave and dress clients.. Conducts activities for recreation and socialization.. Ensure safety and security of clients.. Observe and document patient data, behavior and activity.. Feed clients who are unable to feed themselves.. Prepare clients for treatment or examination.. Provide clients with care by supplying and emptying bedpans, applying dressing and supervising exercise routines.. Provide clients with help walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bed.
