Grant Specialist 2
Under general supervision, collaborates with agency staff to prepare or consults on the preparation of grant proposals. Administers ongoing monitoring of grant programs and related funds. Provides monthly/quarterly financial status and progress reports to leadership and grantors. Researches compatible funding sources and prepares requests for proposals.
Competencies Needed:
Grant writing and application submission Grant budget narratives and budget summary preparation Budget and/or accounting experience Status/expense report preparation MS Office suite
Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, finance or a related field in area of assignment from an accredited college or university AND one year experience in grants management, public funds administration, accounting or a related area
OR
· Five years' experience in grants management, public funds administration
OR
· One year experience required at the lower level Grants Specialist 1 (FIP050) or position equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications: In addition to the minimum qualifications the preferred candidate must possess all of the following:
· Knowledge of Federal and State Grant systems such as Grants.gov, Grant Solutions, Delphi.gov, Sam.gov, Formstack
· 1-3 Years of Budget and/or accounting experience
· 1-3 Years of experience in Identifying, writing and submitting grant proposals.
· Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
