Under general supervision, the Georgia as a Model Employer (GAME) Employment Specialist provides employment-related guidance to state of Georgia government entities on promoting and expanding State of Georgia employment opportunities for job seekers with disabilities. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to policy development, training, and technical guidance regarding recruitment, screening, removal of barriers to employment, accommodations, compliance, and hiring best practices. The State of Georgia as a Model Employer (GAME) Employment Specialist also performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Completion of an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of three (3) years of experience as an ADA Coordinator, Human Resources, Employee Relations, or Vocational Rehabilitation professional with comprehensive experience in the development and delivery of trainings and compliance activities related to the Americans with Disabilities Act (Titles I and II);

OR

Completion of a graduate degree (MHRM, MPA, MPH or MSW or equivalent) from an accredited college or university and a minimum of one (1) year of experience as an ADA Coordinator, Human Resources, Employee Relations professional, or Vocational Rehabilitation professional with comprehensive experience in the development and delivery of trainings and compliance activities related to the Americans with Disabilities Act (Titles I and II).

Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess the following: ADA Coordinator Training Certification Program (ACTPC) completion or equivalent; SHRM-CP certification or equivalent.
