Full-Time Instructor / Program Coordinator - Civil Engineering
Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for its Full-Time Civil Engineering Instructor / Program Coordinator position in the Industrial & Transportation Technology department of the Academic & Student Affairs division. This position is located on Atlanta Technical College’s main campus, just South of Downtown Atlanta.
Under general supervision of the Dean of Industrial & Transportation Technologies, the Full-Time Civil Engineering Instructor / Program Coordinator is responsible for fulfilling both administrative and teaching responsibilities, as well as preparing and delivering quality curriculum with daily instruction of Civil Engineering in the classroom & practical settings. Program coordinators are members of the faculty and program administrators with planning, organizational, and supervisory responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following:
· Provides program administrative oversight.
· Lead the effort to secure program equipment and instructional resources.
· Develop a program advisory committee, which meets at least twice annually to provide program counsel.
· Complete annual Program Reviews, Student Learning Outcomes Assessment, Unit Planning and Budget Request
· Make data driven decisions on program goals and strategies.
· Schedules program courses.
· Directly supervises adjunct faculty.
· Performs other administrative tasks as related to the management of the program.
· Provides program curriculum oversight.
· Prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction for credited technical / occupational courses.
· Develop program and course outlines, goals and objectives.
· Conduct classroom and lab instruction.
· Ensure safety and security requirements are met in the training area.
· Assist with recruitment, retention and job placement efforts.
· Attend meetings, serve on committees, and perform other duties to serve the college and academic program needs.
· Oversee the drafting (Engineering Design} program and its part-time faculty; and
· Performs additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess and demonstrate the following:
· Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from a nationally or regionally accredited college or university.
· Three (3) years of directly related work experience in the field of study.
· At least one (1) year of teaching experience at the post-secondary level.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference may be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum requirements, possess and demonstrate the following:
· Doctorate degree in Civil Engineering from a nationally or regionally accredited college or university.
· Five (5) or more years of directly related work experience in the field of study.
· At least three (3) years’ teaching experience at the post-secondary level.
