Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for its Full-Time Clinical Coordinator/ Lead Nursing Instructor position in the Health and Public Safety Technology Division.  This position is located on Atlanta Technical College’s main campus, just South of Downtown Atlanta. 

 

Under general supervision of the Associate Dean of Nursing & Related programs, this position requires a passion for effective teaching and advisement of diverse students. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:

 

·         Coordinate and supervise day-to-day clinical activities and workflow

·         Serve as a liaison between healthcare providers, patients, and administrative staff

·         Ensure compliance with healthcare standards, contracts, policies, and regulatory requirements

·         Schedule and coordinate clinical staff, including training and onboarding

·         Lead and coordinate nursing faculty in classroom, clinical, and simulation instruction

·         Follow approved curriculum standards and course syllabi

·         Advise and counsel students and maintain advisement records

·         Maintain classrooms and laboratories in accordance with approved plans

·         Attend meetings and enforce institutional policies

·         Assist with student recruitment and job placement

·         Serve on committees

·         Maintain qualifications per TCSG and accreditation standards

·         Follow institutional and TCSG policies and procedures

·         Assist in development of reports for the Georgia Board of Nursing; and

·         Perform additional duties as assigned

 

COMPETENCIES:

·         Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products

·         Strong communication, organization, and planning skills

·         Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills

·         Ability to work collaboratively

·         Ability to maintain confidentiality

 

Minimum Qualifications:

·         Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN)

·         Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Georgia

·         Three (3) years of clinical experience in acute care, OB, pediatrics, medical-surgical, or emergency settings

·         Strong knowledge of human pathophysiology

·         Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS provider

 

CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES:

·         Georgia RN licensure in good standing

·         Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

 

Preferred   Qualifications:

Preference may be considered for candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess and demonstrate the following:

·         Doctoral degree in Nursing or Education (PhD, DNP, EdD)

·         Four (4) or more years of clinical experience

·         One (1) year full-time teaching in an Associate Degree Nursing or Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing program.
