Full-Time Accountant II
Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for its Full-Time Accountant II in the Administrative Services division. This position is located on Atlanta Technical College’s main campus, just South of Downtown Atlanta.
Under general supervision of the Director of Accounting, the Accountant II is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and supporting audits within the Administrative Services Division.
Duties and responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following:
· Manage track and report on company's fixed assets while ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
· Provide financial support for grant-funded projects throughout the college.
· Assist with the preparation of grant reconciliations, grant amendments/modifications and audits.
· Familiarity with Federal, State, and Local regulations, as it relates to Grants Financial Management.
· Evaluates, audits and maintains accounts and transaction processing to ensure GAAP compliance.
· Assist in fiscal year end reporting with IPEDS, GAAP and SEFA.
· Perform other accounting related job duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess and demonstrate a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field OR Associate degree in accounting or related field AND Two (2) years of accounting work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference may be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum requirements, possess and demonstrate a Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting from an accredited college or university AND one (1) year of professional accounting job-related experience; OR (1) year of experience at a lower-level Accountant 1 or position equivalent.
