Pathways Center provides mental health, addictive disease/substance abuse, and intellectual & developmental disability services in the west central Georgia region. Responsibilities for the Food Service Operations Associate include but are not limited to the following:
□ Inspects food during preparation, cooking, serving, and storage to ensure recipes and established guidelines are being followed
□ May train team members in the proper handling, cooking, storage, and serving of food, and in the proper utilization and maintenance of food preparation equipment
□ Assembles, prepares, and cooks food according to daily menus
□ Stores food according to proper temperature guidelines and in appropriate area
□ Reports equipment maintenance needs immediately to supervisor
□ Accounts for expendable and non-expendable supplies used during food preparation and other shift operations
□ Demonstrates cost awareness in the use of property and supplies
□ Performs user preventive maintenance on food service equipment
□ Ensures food is served quickly and effectively, and in a pleasant, courteous and attractive manner
□ Follows safe food handling procedures and emphasizes the importance of doing so to other team members
□ Oversees the replenishing of food supplies and the breakdown of the service area at the end of the shift
□ Ensures chairs and tables in dining area are safe, clean, and presentable fashion
□ Ensures the kitchen area to include serving tables are sanitized and clean on a daily basis
