Supervises, guides, and/or instructs the work assignments of subordinate staff.
Oversees all facets of an agency/institution motor pool.
Coordinates the assignment, maintenance and replacement of vehicles in a fleet program. Assures that routine maintenance and safety checks are performed.
Coordinates the scheduling to serve the needs of the agency.
Dispatches vehicles and responds to questions concerning policies and procedures.
Ensures the receiving and dispersal of new equipment, the removal of surplus equipment and transfer of vehicles within agency guidelines.
Maintains fleet program records and vehicle records relating to maintenance, operation and costs.
Supervises and plans the work of assigned staff
High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of experience in the area of assignment, which includes one (1) year in a lead worker, team leader, or supervisory role; or one (1) year of experience at the lower level Fleet/Motor Pool Spec 3 (FET052) or position equivalent.
