Financial Aid Coordinator (Loan Services)
Under the general supervision of the Director of Financial Aid, the Coordinator of Loan Services is responsible for maintaining financial aid processing systems, including system setup, ensuring data integrity, and resolving system conflicts; implementing new initiatives to support accurate and efficient financial aid operations with ongoing updates as needed; assessing student aid eligibility for current and prospective students; providing technical support for Banner and reporting functions; coordinating data and supporting the Director of Financial Aid in the reporting of federal and state financial aid resources; and performing other duties as assigned. This position is designated as a remote role and supports all Savannah Technical College campus locations.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field *and* Two (2) years related work experience
Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university *and* four (4) years of progressive experience in financial or loan services; Experience proficiency in BANNER student information; an interest and proficiency in using college data to drive planning and decision making; a passion for working with adult learners and first-generation college students. Experience with system setup involving modules and multiple starts of term.
Physical Demands
The employee may occasionally lift or move objects of light to medium weight, not to exceed 25 pounds, within a remote/home workspace. Work is performed entirely in a remote environment, requiring the ability to maintain a safe, functional, and professional home office setting. The role involves extended periods of sitting, with the flexibility to stand or move as needed. The employee must have a full range of hand and finger motion to effectively perform computer-based tasks, including data entry and use of virtual systems.
