At McIntosh Trail Community Service Board, we offer individuals experiencing symptoms associated with mental illness, addictive disease and/or developmental disability the hope for optimal functioning and recovery by providing quality behavioral health services and supports.

Summary

Under general supervision, performs routine maintenance on buildings, facilities, and rounds. Cleans and maintains assigned areas. Assists contractors or skilled trades workers with major repairs or renovations.

Responsibilities

·        Assists contractors or skilled trades worker with major repairs or renovations.

·        Conduct assigned task efficiently and expeditiously with minimal impact upon the program’s operations.

·        Monitors conditions of facilities.

·        Performs routine repairs, preventative maintenance and inspection of the facilities or buildings.

·        Maintain repairs and general upkeep of vehicles assigned to Maintenance Team.

·        Move furniture, operate hand tools and power cleaning equipment.

·        Perform carpentry, plumbing, and basic electrical repairs within scope of abilities as approved by supervisor.

·        Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.

·        Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Competencies

·        Must posses ability to work within a team or independent (when applicable) and able to work quickly under pressure.

·        Posses an innate ability or have general experience to problem-solve and conduct repairs.

·        Must be organized and detail oriented.

·        Possess ability to communicate effectively.

·        Able to read and comprehend instructions/blueprints.

·        One year of related experience.

·        A valid Georgia’s Driver’s License.

Physical Requirements

·        Must be able to lift and carry up to 25-50 lbs.

·        Must have completed drivers’ improvement training.

·        Not have any physical or health condition that would cause harm to self or others in the performance of the job.

Physical Demands may include:

Sitting, standing and /or walking, pushing/pulling, handling, reaching, bending, twisting, crawling, kneelin, squatting, climbing (ladders or stairs), overhead reaching.
