Fabricator/Welder 1
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: Fabricates new project items and makes different types of repairs to all wildland firefighting equipment using MIG & ARC welding techniques along with the utilization of Oxy/Acetylene torches. Have the ability to learn the function and maintenance of multiples pieces of fabrication equipment such as- Saws, Drill presses, Shears, Brake presses, Pipe threaders, and an assortment of pneumatic and electric hand tools. Upholds a high quality craftsmanship standard while using multiple fabrication techniques in a timely manner.
High school diploma/GED and one (1) year of job-related experience; or Ability to use a cutting torch and weld with a wire welder.
