Duties and Responsibilities

 

This position will work in the Watershed Protection Branch, Regulatory Support Program, Regional Water Planning (RWP) Unit.  The specialists will support the work of the Regional Water Planning Councils and support the Grants Unit with seed grant programs.  This position will require excellent planning and organizational skills as well as exceptional customer service and public speaking abilities.  This position will work with the planning support contractor to develop Council meeting topics, coordinate guest speakers and outreach activities for the Council and monitor and track the progress and implementation of the Regional Water Plans.  The specialists would maintain the RWP website for meeting notices, minutes and handouts, seed grant information, and Plan updates.  Additionally, the specialists would assist in the development of the municipal and industrial water demand forecasts that support the Regional Water Planning Councils.

 

 Preferred Qualifications

-Prior experience with water resource planning.
-Strong oral and written communication skills.
-Experience with public speaking.
-Experience managing projects.
-Experience with stakeholder/public involvement.
-Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
