The End the HIV Epidemic (EHE) is a major federal initiative to impact the prevention, transmission, and treatment of HIV/AIDS that is being implemented in four target counties in Metro Atlanta. The EHE grant led to the development of a metro-wide plan, with supporting implementation plans in four target counties, that will be adapted throughout Georgia. We are seeking a full-time, Project Coordinator who will ensure effective day-to-day operations of the EHE grant, partner with key communities, performing complex administrative duties, financial, or operational data analysis and reporting in support of management decision making related to the EHE. The project coordinator identifies issues, trends, and discrepancies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations. In addition to community engagement, the coordinator will partner with other department programs, divisions, outside agencies, and vendors to address business issues. They exercise independent judgment, with support from Department Executive Leadership. The position will administer or provide high level support for report submissions, local projects, contracts, implementation of procedures, and/or any specialized functions. They assist with orientation, training, or providing task guidance to EHE districts. Provides strategic analysis.
- Communicates the planning and strategy to DPH staff, districts and community stakeholders.
- Lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of EHE strategies in alignment with state and federal priorities.
- Coordinate across HIV prevention, care, and partner services programs to ensure integrated service delivery.
- Support health districts in operationalizing EHE activities, including testing, linkage to care, re-engagement, and PrEP initiatives.
- Monitor progress toward EHE goals and ensure alignment with established work plans and timelines.
- Ensures grant budget is kept in line with agency priorities .
- Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Gathers, compiles and analyzes grant related information.
- May participate as a member of internal and external committees and task forces to assess policies, procedures, and programs.
- Prepares and analyzes operational reports or other data.
- Facilitate collaboration across jurisdictions to strengthen regional and statewide HIV response efforts.
- Represent the program in meetings, workgroups, and external engagements related to EHE activities.
The DPH Commissioner and agency leaders encourage all employees to engage in regular wellness activities and to make lifestyle choices that promote health and well-being.
The use of physical activity breaks during the workday is authorized to support this philosophy and help employees meet their wellness goals. A maximum of 30 minutes of physical activity may be allocated per workday, typically in the form of two 15-minute breaks or one 30-minute break.
