Director - Office of Information Technology

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in technology, science, management or related field from an accredited college or university and eight (8) years in a managerial role. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in management information systems, computer science, cybersecurity, computer engineering or related Information technology sciences.

-Effective communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in leading successful teams and developing professional relationships with team members and business partners.

-Documented experience analyzing data, developing recommendations and presenting recommendations to leadership.

-Eight (8) years demonstrated experience in multiple areas of Information Security and Technology management including information systems, data processing, network management and/or electronic security.

-Strong organizational skills demonstrating the ability to effectively manage multiple projects utilizing industry recognized project management methodologies.

-Demonstrated experience interpreting, developing and implementing policies and procedures related to information technology and security.

-Five (5) years demonstrated experience managing within the State of Georgia Information Technology policies governed by the Georgia Technology Authority.

-Five (5) years demonstrated experience managing networking and communication systems utilizing contracts managed by the Georgia Technology Authority.

-Demonstrated knowledge of business financial management in the evaluation of vendors to establish contracts related to computer hardware, software, networking and cybersecurity.

-Five (5) years’ experience in a senior management role overseeing multiple units within a department.
