The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Marketing and Strategic Media within the Office of Quick Start to lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for media production, creative design, and marketing strategy. This position will oversee the development and execution of high-quality video, photography, graphic design, and promotional content that supports Quick Start’s mission to deliver world-class workforce training to Georgia’s industries. The Director will also serve as the primary point of contact for all media inquiries and manage relationships with external media outlets.  **The position is open to current TCSG employees and affiliated colleges only that meet the minimum qualifications below. **

RESPONSIBILITIES 

·         Lead and manage the Media, Creative Services, and Marketing teams, including video producers, photographers, graphic designers, and marketing and graphic design professionals.

·         Collaborate with GDEcD and regional economic development entities to deliver customized presentations of Quick Start’s training capabilities, history, and brand proposition to prospect companies and consultants, using virtual meeting platforms, in person at appropriate locations, and hosting prospects at Quick Start’s Atlanta headquarters and other Quick Start locations. 

·         Calculate dollar valuation of proposed incentive offered by Quick Start to competitive companies considering locating or expanding in Georgia.

·         Plan and implement Quick Start public events.

·         Oversee the production of multimedia content for training programs, promotional campaigns, and stakeholder engagement.

·         Direct the creation of visual assets for instructional materials, ensuring alignment with adult learning principles and Quick Start branding.

·         Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote Quick Start’s capabilities to prospective companies, economic development partners, and the public.

·         Serve as the primary liaison for media, including responding to media requests, coordinating interviews, and managing press outreach.

·         Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure consistent messaging and brand integrity across all platforms.

·         Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of creative projects.

·         Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in media production, design, and marketing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

Bachelor’s degree in media production, graphic design, marketing, communications, or a related field; and, Five (5) years of progressive experience in media production, creative direction, marketing, including at least two (2) years in a supervisory or leadership role

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

·         Master’s degree in a related field.

·         Demonstrated performance in designing, developing and delivering customized presentations detailing technical training services for a broad range of industry types; and,

·         Two or more years working within the Georgia Quick Start environment to ensure deep knowledge of the services being offered. 

·         Experience in workforce development, higher education, or public sector communications.

·         Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional creative teams.

·         Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, video editing software, and digital marketing tools.

·         Experience managing media relations and public communications.

·         Strategic thinking with a creative mindset.

·         Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

·         Knowledge of branding, marketing analytics, and content strategy.

·         Media relations and public engagement expertise.
