Director of Admissions
Job Summary: The Director of Admissions provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all admissions functions at the College, serving as a key driver of access, enrollment growth, and student success. Reporting to the Vice-President of Student Affairs, the Director leads admissions within a one-stop enrollment environment, ensuring students experience seamless, high-quality service from first contact through enrollment.
This position requires an energetic, innovative, and analytically strong leader who combines creativity, data-informed decision making, and relationship building to expand access, improve enrollment outcomes, and support student persistence and completion.
Essential Functions:
Admissions Strategy and Enrollment Leadership 60%
• Provide leadership and direction for admissions operations, recruitment initiatives, and enrollment services aligned with College priorities.
• Develop, implement, and continuously refine comprehensive recruitment and enrollment strategies based on market data, program demand, and student trends.
• Monitor and analyze enrollment metrics (applications, yield, melt, conversion, demographics) to guide decision-making and resource allocation.
• Stay current on program admissions requirements, program offerings, deadlines, costs, and state and federal mandates impacting access and enrollment.
• Lead admissions within a one-stop enrollment center, partnering closely with financial aid, advising, registration, and related student services.
• Promote a “no wrong door” service philosophy where student issues are resolved efficiently, accurately, and with accountability.
• Ensure staff are cross-trained, student-focused, and empowered to resolve issues in a high-volume, service-driven environment.
• Identify and implement process improvements that reduce barriers, streamline workflows, and improve the overall student experience.
Team Leadership and Administration 15%
• Recruit, supervise, evaluate, and develop admissions staff in accordance with college policies and procedures.
• Foster a culture of professionalism, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Manage departmental budget, staffing plans, and operational resources.
• Participate in institutional strategic planning and lead implementation of divisional and departmental goals.
Policy, Compliance and Continuous Improvement 10%
• Develop, implement, and recommend updates to admissions policies and procedures to ensure alignment with TCSG, state, and federal requirements.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and system policies.
• Participate in system-level meetings, initiatives, and professional development activities.
• Engage in professional development to remain current in enrollment management best practices, technology, and data analytics.
Relationship Building and Outreach 10%
• Serve a visible ambassador for the college, cultivating relationships with high schools, community organizations, employers, and workforce partners.
• Collaborate with marketing, outreach, and academic teams to ensure consistent messaging and coordinated recruitment efforts.
• Support on- and off-campus recruitment events and enrollment initiatives that drive access and growth

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in related field *and* Three (3) years of experience in a post-secondary institution.
Preferred Qualifications: (In addition to the minimum qualifications)
• Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field preferred
• Minimum 3 years supervisory experience
• Experience working in a one-stop or integrated enrollment services model.
• Knowledge of admissions requirements and admission testing
• Experience with TCSG admission policy, processes, and requirements
• Proficient in BANNER or a student information system;
• Workable knowledge of community and service delivery area
• Familiarity with marketing and recruitment tactics
• Technically proficient in a variety of software (Microsoft Office) to produce documents, spreadsheets, and reports; also, Customer Relationship Systems and Data Analytics, etc.
• Demonstrated oral, written communication, organization, and time management skills
• Strong marketing and recruitment skills

Supervisory Responsibility
Has oversight of overall positions within the department.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment, routinely uses standard office equipment and technologies, and requires business attire and professionalism.
Physical Demands

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. This position occasionally requires longer hours and some weekend work.
Travel
Travel to other campus locations is required. Some overnight travel may be required.
