The position is open to all applicants that meet the minimum qualifications below. 

 

The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) is seeking highly qualified applicants for their full-time Digital Content Specialist position in the Office of Workforce Development (OWD)/WorkSource GA. This position will be responsible for the management and upkeep of OWD’s social media presence and assist with its overall brand-building efforts. This position is located at the TCSG System Office in Atlanta at 1800 Century Place, Atlanta, GA  30345.  **This is a grant funded position. **

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

·         Work with the OWD Communications team to strategically schedule and post social media updates

·         Assist with updating existing web content and create new content when needed

·         Track and report performance issues and offer resolutions

·         Assist with tracking of communications-related software accounts

·         Troubleshoot web and social media

·         Collect, measure, and analyze traffic and other metrics

·         Collaborate with the communications team, outside vendors, agencies, local governments, and photographers

·         Provide technical assistance to local government entities that provide workforce services

·         Manage project timelines

·         Prepare and interpret analytics reports

·         Support digital marketing campaigns

·         Create digital content, including online forms

·         Other duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

 

Associate degree and a minimum of two (2) years of job-related experience *OR* bachelor’s degree and a minimum of one (1) year of job-related experience

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

·         Social media certification, strong sense of UX best practices, web architecture, and design and editing fundamentals.

·         Knowledge of Loomly (or similar social media management platform), WordPress, Cognito Forms, Constant Contact (or similar email message design/distribution platform) Basecamp (or similar project management platform), Whova event management software, Outlook apps, HTML, tag management, and Google Analytics

 

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

·         Knowledge of personal best practices, rules, and testing needs

·         Ability to break larger tasks into manageable smaller tasks

·         Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs

·         Provide technical assistance to local government entities that provide workforce services (LWDAs) and internal WorkSource GA/OWD staff

·         Event and presentation support

·         Organizational and Project management skills

·         Oral and written communication skills

·         Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public

·         Decision making and problem-solving skills

·         Ability to visualize and interpret through a variety of visual mediums

·         Must be able to adhere to established brand guidelines

·         Demonstrate successful integrations of design concepts

·         Ability to defend design decisions based on cost/benefit analysis of effective design solutions
