Database Administrator 2-Georgia PINES
Job Summary
The Georgia Department of Education (Ga DOE)- Division of State Schools is recruiting for a Database Administrator 2 (DBA) for the Georgia Parent Infant Network for Educational Services (Georgia PINES) unit. Under general supervision of the Georgia PINES Director, the (DBA) designs and secures computer databases to store, track, and maintain a large volume of critical business information. The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Description of Duties
- Design, code, test, modify and debug computer software, using relational database systems and SQL platforms
- Research and analyzes program or system problems and develops related program documentation
- Translate business requirements into development activities in secure and maintainable code
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to applications who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess one or more of the following:
- Experience using simple office relational database systems (MS Access, LibreOffice Base, etc.)
- Experience managing/completing SQL project work
- Experience managing/completing MYSQL work
- Experience managing/completing Access SQL work
- Experience using various SQL workbenches/Studios
- Experience using data backup/recovery systems and processes
- Experience writing html webpages
- Experience using Data I/O Page
- Experience using ASP Classic
- Experience using PHP
- Experience providing computer hardware and software troubleshooting support
