Job Summary:

The Information Security Analyst 2 supports the agency’s cybersecurity program with a focus on governance, risk, and compliance (GRC). This position conducts risk assessments, supports security audits, assists with continuous monitoring activities, and helps ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations and agency policies. The Information Security Analyst will assist and report to the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) / Information Security Officer (ISO).

 

 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Governance, Risk, and Compliance

  • Assist with IT and information security risk assessments, audits, and gap analyses

  • Support execution of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Continuous Authorization and Monitoring (CAM) and POA&M activities

  • Identify, document, and communicate significant IT/security risks

  • Support remediation tracking and reporting with control and process owners

Audit & Compliance Support

  • Participate in development and maintenance of System Security Plans (SSPs)

  • Assist with audit evidence collection and control testing

  • Support CAM activities related to all DJJ’s security program requirements

Policy, Documentation & Program Support

  • Support administration of Security Awareness Training (SAT)

  • Assist in development and maintenance of cybersecurity framework documentation

Security Operations & Tools

  • Support management or use of tools such as:

  • CrowdStrike Falcon Complete

  • Splunk

  • ServiceNow / Zendesk ticketing platforms

  • Assist with incident tracking and response coordination

  • Perform basic threat hunting activities as required

 

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Information Security, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience and three (3) years of proven experience and demonstrated success in technology leadership with emphasis on information security and data governance and currently holds an intermediate cyber certification per state guidelines or achieves within 12 months of start date a (CCNA, CCNA-S, C)ISRM, CISM, CASP, GCIH, GCED, CEH) and Must hold or be able to qualify for a US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) clearance

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) tools or processes

  • Experience with HIPAA or similar regulatory audits

  • Experience administering SAT programs

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Must successfully complete required background checks
