The Georgia Department of Public Safety (DPS) oversees the day-to-day operation of the Georgia State Patrol (GSP), Capitol Police and the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division (CVE). We currently have an opening for a Compliance Specialist 1 in the Vehicle Immobilization Program (Regulatory Compliance Unit) of the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division.

 

The Regulatory Compliance Section is responsible for the enforcement of provisions regarding the issuance of Certificates and Permits of Operations for the following programs: Non-Consensual Towing, Vehicle Immobilization (Booting), Limousine and Passenger Carriers, Household Good Carriers and Transportation Network Companies & Taxi Services. The Regulatory Compliance Section also handles the enforcement of safety inspection in conjunction with Commercial Vehicle Officers for passenger carrier vehicles as required by The Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division.  In addition, the Regulatory Compliance Section is responsible for the enforcement of the Commercial indemnity and liability insurance for all commercial motor vehicles as provided by each program.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

 

  • Proficient Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Skills.
  • Previous experience in program analytics and audits.

  

Selected applicant must pass a pre-employment background investigation. This includes a review of criminal, driver’s and credit history. No polygraph examination is required for this position.
