Purpose of the Position: In a team environment, under limited supervision, supervises front line Customer Service Representatives in assuring that WIC demographic data is collected meeting the standards set by GA WIC policy and procedure and audits the performance of CDPH Customer Services. Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision. Supervise the issuance of eWIC Card to WIC participants per GA WIC policy and procedure. Provide direct administrative WIC services as needed. Provides other administrative WIC services within the standards set by GAWIC policies and procedures to assure prompt services are provided to all WIC clients. Self-monitors and assures that all GA professional and ethical standards for a state employee are maintained. Self-monitors and assures ongoing professional development necessary to maintain skills utilizing multiple resources. Resolves complicated issues involving customer service and or research governing policies or procedures to respond to clients. “This position works to promote and protect the health and safety of the residents of Cobb and Douglas Counties.”
Essential Functions (Include but are not limited to):
· Analyzes problems, questions, issues, etc. and develops recommendations for resolving them with supervisor.
· Provides assistance and problem resolution to clients, staff and supervisors
· Inventories and reports at the end of each business day/month
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED and five (5) years in a lead worker, team leader, or supervisory role communicating information in a customer service setting; or two (2) years of experience required at the lower level Customer Svc Rep 3 (GST122).
Preferred Qualifications:
CDPH WIC Experience, GA WIC Experience, Bilingual (Spanish) or Bilingual (Sign Language) Experience in coordinating programmatic, administrative, and/or technical operations related to front desk
Functions such as customer service, patient intake/out processing, etc... Two-four years of experience in independently performing a range of office duties such as data entry, accounting clerical, and/or similar responsibilities. Expanded knowledge of the GA. Immunization schedule, GRITS System, and the Medicaid Web Portal is a plus.
Salary Information: $46,632.33 Annually / Pay grade I
Work Conditions & Physical Demands: Fast paced environment; able to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis; considerable typing and data entry.
Remote Work: – Employees authorized for remote/hybrid work must reside and perform their job duties exclusively within the state of Georgia. Remote/hybrid work arrangements outside the state are not permitted under current policy.
