Criminal Justice Instructor
Description: Part-time position based on semester system. Adjunct faculty responsibilities are centered on preparing and teaching classes as assigned. Under general supervision, provide instruction to students in the Criminal Justice Technology Degree, Diploma and Certificate programs dual enrollment students at Stephens County High School. Applicants must demonstrate the use of appropriate teaching techniques; use of appropriate testing and grading procedures including proper maintenance of grade books and any other record-keeping required; effective use of oral and written communication skills; and knowledge of current in-field procedures. Proficient with commonly used office software. Must have the ability and equipment to interact with students virtually. Live or recorded lectures are required content. Follows approved course syllabus. Maintain program requirements, attend/complete all professional development training; interact with students and college personnel to discuss students' instructional programs and other issues. Evaluates student progress in attaining goals and objectives. Completes all reports, records and invoices in a timely manner and maintains accurate inventory of all assigned properties. Minimum Qualifications: Juris Doctorate OR Master's Degree in Criminal Justice OR Master's Degree in Justice Administration with Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice OR Master's Degree in related field with appropriate coursework related to course(s) taught AND related work experience Preferred Qualifications: Teaching/training experience |
