Summary/Objective: 
Under general supervision, develops, processes, approves, and oversees legal contracts and compliance within the guidelines. Monitors performance of assigned contracts.

Essential Functions:

1.       Coordinates implementation of contracts

2.       Develop and implement contracting policies and procedures.

3.       Ensures compliance of project documentation according to established procedures and record retention

4.       May direct/coordinate the procurement and property programs.

5.       Performs research, evaluation, and analysis for monitoring performance for compliance/non-compliance of contracts.

6.       Prepare contract letting lists.

7.       Prepares contracts in compliance with federal and state laws, rules, and regulations and agency/department requirements.

8.       Prepares, processes, and reconciles contract documents and reimbursement requests.

9.       Processes all construction plans, the contract proposals and contracts for bid.

10.  Reviews contract specifications before solicitation and ensure available funding.

11.  Takes appropriate actions with regard to contract compliance, progress, and corrective actions.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions:

Incumbents working in this job perform duties in an office setting. This is a 40-hour workweek requirement. The position may involve managing a high-volume workload and demands a high level of accuracy while working with deadlines. Regular attendance is an important part of being successful in this position. Reasonable accommodations can be made available to qualified individuals upon request.

 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position occasionally requires long hours and weekend work.

 

Travel:

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.

As a condition of employment with Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency, you must successfully complete a mandatory federal and national background check, pre-employment testing, and additional checks required for your job.

High school diploma/GED and five (5) years of contracting job-related experience; or one (1) year of experience required at the lower level Contracts Administrator 1 (LEP030) or position equivalent.
