Career Preparation and Partnerships Manager - FT
Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for its full-time Career Preparation and Partnerships Manager position, in the Student Engagement division. This position is located on Atlanta Tech's main campus, just South of Downtown Atlanta. Under general supervision, The Career Preparation and Partnerships Manager will lead the strategic initiatives of the Center for Workforce Innovation (CWI) to enhance employer engagement, facilitate student placements, and ensure that our workforce development initiatives align with industry needs.
This position requires a dynamic leader with a proven track record in employer relations, career services, and highly skilled in in team management, project management, data analysis, and effective communication
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Strategic Leadership: Lead and inspire a diverse team to implement a comprehensive employer engagement strategy, fostering a collaborative environment that drives results for ATC students and partners.
• Employer Engagement Strategy: Design and execute an innovative employer engagement strategy that strengthens partnerships and enhances opportunities for student career placements.
• Account Management: Create and manage an account management plan with service level agreements (SLAs) for employer partners, ensuring alignment with their business and talent needs.
• Research and Identification: Identify and research potential sponsor employers to understand their business needs and talent requirements, leveraging data to inform strategy.
• Cultivation and Coordination: Develop and manage a cultivation plan for prospective employer partners, coordinating efforts with ATC stakeholders to maximize engagement.
• Feedback and Communication: Conduct regular discussions with employers to gather feedback on talent needs and evaluate the effectiveness of current programs.
• Data Tracking and Analysis: Implement robust systems for tracking graduate placements and employer interactions, analyzing data to inform program improvements and strategic decisions.
• Work-Based Experiences: Build and oversee a comprehensive list of work-based experiences and post-graduation placement opportunities for ATC students.
• Student Preparation: Ensure students are equipped with the necessary skills for job applications, interviews, and successful workplace integration through workshops and counseling.
• Placement Systems Management: Develop and manage an efficient placement system for students, coordinating job placement services between students and employers.
• Special Populations: Coordinate engagement and placement activities in alignment with special populations associated with grants and those requiring workplace accommodations.
• Collaboration and Networking: Collaborate with other college services to enhance the workforce pipeline and build relationships with local community networks.
• Policy Development: Develop and recommend changes to policies and procedures to meet program goals and ensure compliance with TCSG policies and state/federal regulations.
• Budget Management: Oversee the financial and budget operations of the department, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
• Staff Management and Development: Monitor personnel activities for compliance and conduct evaluations to support staff development and program effectiveness.
• Community Representation: Serve as the college's representative at civic and employer meetings, promoting CWI programs and advocating for workforce development initiatives.
• Presentation and Communication: Make impactful presentations about the college's programs, labor market conditions, and trends to stakeholders, employers, and community partners.
• Event Coordination: Organize job fairs, industry presentations, and on-campus employer engagement events to enhance visibility and opportunities for students.
• Reporting and Compliance: Complete administrative reports, maintain records of student and employer interactions, and track job placement statistics for funding purposes.
• Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned to support the mission of the Center for Workforce Innovation.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field *and* Three (3) years of work-related experience
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field preferred. Five years’ full-time professional level experience in career services, career coaching or counseling, or workforce development. Proven ability to build and maintain partnerships with employers and community organizations. Three years of managerial experience, including developing, leading, and inspiring strategic direction of a diverse teams serving adult learners. Experience in program evaluation and data analysis, advanced computer skills and proficiency educational technologies, learning platforms, and CRMs (i.e., Handshake, Salesforce, etc.). Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
