Campus Police Chief
The Campus Police Chief provides leadership and management for the college’s Campus Safety and Security Office, overseeing the organization, direction, supervision, and daily operations of the department.
Duties:

Manages the overall security and public safety program across multiple campuses and off-campus sites, supporting students, faculty, staff, and the general public.

Develops and delivers in-service training and educational programs related to campus safety.

Coordinates operational plans and collaborates with local and other law enforcement agencies.

Oversees fire prevention programs and ensures proper maintenance of fire prevention equipment.

Manages and monitors the department’s financial and budgetary operations.

Ensures personnel compliance with TCSG policies and department procedures.

Conducts employee evaluations at scheduled intervals, reviewing all relevant performance data.

Assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures, recommending changes as needed.

Provides updates to management on department services, operations, and projects.

Regularly evaluates department services and implements necessary adjustments.

Stays informed about policies, procedures, and federal/state laws that may impact departmental operations.

Serves as the primary investigator for on-campus incident reports filed with campus police.

Maintains communication with local police, fire, and traffic departments on issues affecting campus safety.

Oversees the documentation and management of hazardous materials on campus.

Serves on campus committees as requested.

Attends civic and government meetings as necessary.

Maintains Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) certification.

Manages the institution’s parking operations.
