The position is open to all applicants that meet the minimum qualifications below. 

 

The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) is seeking highly qualified applicants for their full-time Business Services Recruiter position in the Office of Workforce Development.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

         Supports employer needs through the connection of job seekers and employment opportunities utilizing all related OWD resources.

         Works collaboratively with Career Center staff to coordinate on activities supporting employer needs, including referrals, positive recruitment events/job fairs, and workshops.

         Utilizes Labor Exchange System and other recruitment/case management resources to support employer needs and facilitate job-seeker referrals.

         Build Relationships between TCSG-OWD and GA Business Community. Learn and demonstrate detailed knowledge in all TCSG-OWD areas to give effective presentations and facilitate value-added workshops. Ensure presentations address the requests and are accurate and substantive.

         Engages with community/workforce stakeholders in support of employer/workforce development needs.  Establishes and maintains working relationships with area business community, internal and external agency customers, and other related contacts.

         Assists in performance reporting through documentation of activities and services through appropriate data management systems.

         Develop and implement promotional strategies to achieve the goals for designated regions, using tools and resources available.

         Non-traditional hours are common and include extensive travel within the assigned.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

         Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or Associate degree from an accredited college AND Two years of related experience. 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

         Bachelor’s degree in public relations, business, marketing, or government/public service.

         Knowledge of the Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) and related Wagner-Peyser (WP) Act.

         Experience with delivery of Employment Services.

         Experience delivering presentations in groups.

         Marketing, communications, or cold-calling experience.

         Demonstrated experience organizing, presenting, and disseminating client requested information or data.

         Experience or training using all Microsoft application software.

         Experience presenting information and factual data to individuals or groups. 

 

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

        Time and task management skills

        Basic computer skills and ability to adapt to job-related software programs.

        Organizational skills

        Project management skills

        Superior oral and written communication skills

        Skills in interpersonal relations and customer service

        Decision making and problem-solving skills.
