Clayton Center proudly provides outpatient treatment to children, adolescents, and adults. At the outpatient centers, we promote overall health and quality of life for individuals, youth and families through evidenced-based therapies and medication management to reduce the impact of mental illness, behavior challenges, and substance use. Under supervision, learns to perform psychosocial assessments, treatment planning/monitoring and discharge planning. Provides counseling/therapy to clients requiring complex intervention. Performs commitment determinations and/or executes orders of involuntary commitments. Duties & Responsibilities: - Completes diagnostic formulations and appropriate assessments for youth with behavioral health disorders.
- Collaboratively formulate SMART treatment plans to address issues identified in assessment.
- Participate in play therapy supervision and utilize play therapy in sessions with clients.
- Provides evidenced-based therapeutic interventions to children, adolescents, and families.
- Assist client/family in identifying, developing, and sustaining appropriate natural support systems.
- Communicate with outside agencies/providers as needed (i.e., schools, IEP team).
- Provide psychoeducation to family around mental health, trauma, recovery.
- Collaborate with other behavioral health and physical health providers to holistically address client needs.
- Complete all required documentation (daily clinical notes, assessments, treatment plans) in an accurate and timely manner (agency standard 24 hrs.).
- Participate in regular team meetings to collaborate regarding shared clients, build and practice new skills, and stay up to date on agency administrative information.
- Participate in clinical supervision to increase competence and professional development.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide after-hour coverage, via phone.
- Completes annual training requirements as outlined by agency and/or supervision.
- Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in social work and counseling from an accredited college or university and eligibility to be licensed and two (2) years of supervised experience in the area of assignment or tow (2) years of experience at the lower-level Social Worker, Licensed 1 (HCP050) or position equivalent. Note: Position may require associate of full licensure as an LMSW, LAPC, LCSW, or LPC in the state of Georgia. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with Carelogic or other EHR/EMR.
- Previous clinical experience working in Community Mental Health Care with SPMI, SUD &/or Co-Occurring Disorders.
- Experience providing ASAM or substance use specific groups such as Dual Diagnosis, DBT, Seeking Safety
