Alternate Public Defender (East Metro) – Assistant Public Defender III
The Georgia Public Defender Council, Alternate Public Defender East Metro Division in the Atlanta Central Office, is seeking to hire an Assistant Public Defender III. The primary duties include representing indigent clients with criminal case(s) primarily in the Dekalb Courthouse. Applicants must meet the qualifications and have the necessary skills to perform the job duties and responsibilities of the position. Candidates must possess at least five (5) years’ experience as a criminal defense attorney, as well as demonstrate the ability to try felony cases, including homicide. Applicants must be a current member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia. A strong commitment to indigent defense is also required.
