Attorney 2 (Legal)
Under general supervision, the Attorney provide analysis and/or recommendations on legal issues within the scope and authority of the agency.
Act as a resource to answer questions and evaluates the status of reimbursements or recoupments.
Coordinate and implement due process procedures and procedures for appeals.
Develop, oversee, and implement administrative processes designed to maintain and monitor the legal compliance of department processes.
Draft amendments to existing contracts and standardized letters and notices related to administrative legal procedures.
Identifies and resolves, or assists in the resolution of, legal problems.
Implement administrative processes designed to maintain and monitor the legal compliance of departmental processes and activities.
Participate in the preparation and coordination of cases prior to and during court trials and administrative hearings.
Provide analysis, answer, or recommendations regarding legal, liability and/or risk-management issues.
Provides legal services such as writing articles and drafting new or amended legislation or regulations.
Provide research and analysis of legal, policy and issues.
Review investigative reports and identifies areas that require further investigation.
Perform other duties as assigned.
