Attorney 1
Under general supervision, the Attorney is responsible for providing comprehensive legal support and guidance on regulatory matters affecting the agency's operations. This role involves interpreting and ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies, as well as representing the agency in legal proceedings and negotiations.
Provides analysis and recommendations on legal issues within the scope and authority of the agency.
Acts as a liaison or representative between the agency and the Department of Law.
Coordinates and implements due process procedures and procedures.
Participates in the implementation of settlements, agreements, and legal judgments within approved guidelines.
Participates in the preparation and coordination of cases before and during court trials and administrative hearings.
Provides research and analysis of legal, and policy issues.
Reviews investigative reports and identifies areas that require further investigation.
Represents the agency in administrative hearings, as a client to the Department of Law, or as another legal liaison.
Provides legal services such as writing articles, drafting or amending legislation, regulations contracts, and reviewing documents for legal compliance.
Identifies and resolves, or assists in the resolution of, legal problems, liability, and risk management issues.
Develops, oversees, and implements administrative processes designed to maintain and monitor the legal compliance of department processes and activities.
