Employment Terms: This job is a full time, benefited, FLSA Exempt/Professional position in the Academic Affairs Division that reports to the Vice President of Academic Affairs.

Salary: to commensurate with education and experience not to exceed $110,000/yr

Minimum qualifications (Job Code 10010):  Bachelor’s degree in a related field *and* Five (5) years of related work experience

Preferred qualificationsIn addition to the minimum qualifications, candidates should have at least three (3) years of employment as a full-time instructor and a master’s or doctoral degree in a related field. Candidates should have experience leading and managing teams, projects, budgets, and grants; guiding curriculum development and student support programs to create a positive learning environment; collecting, assessing, and reporting data; ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and accreditation standards; and building and maintaining relationships with businesses and community stakeholders to achieve organizational goals. Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills are essential.

Job Description:
Under minimal supervision, the Associate Vice President provides leadership for adult education programs (high school equivalency, Career Plus, ESL) and college-level general education programs. Ensures both credit and non-credit programs align with the College’s mission and goals.  Oversees instruction in on-campus, off-campus, and online environments; the planning and evaluation of curricula and student learning outcomes; and the supervision and evaluation of faculty and staff. Assists with recruitment initiatives. Manages accreditation processes and ensures compliance, develops and/or assists with the creation of policies and procedures, and supports strategic planning. Collaborates with other college divisions, community organizations, and industry partners; participates in internal and external meetings; coordinates with other agencies, promotes the College in the community, serves on various boards and/or committees. Manages budgets, maintains control structures, reviews operational efficiency, and supports special projects. Teaches courses as needed and may represent the vice president in their absence. Performs other duties as assigned.
