Job Summary:

 

The Georgia Department of Agriculture (GDA) Labor Trafficking Intelligence Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and disseminating intelligence related to human trafficking within the agricultural sector.

 

This role involves collaborating with law enforcement, government agencies, non-profits, and industry stakeholders to identify patterns, assess risks, and support investigations aimed at preventing labor exploitation and trafficking.

 

 

Job Description:

 

 

I.     Intelligence Collection & Analysis:

o        Gather and analyze data on labor trafficking trends in the agricultural industry.

o        Monitor open-source intelligence (OSINT), reports, and databases for relevant trafficking indicators.

o        Identify criminal networks and trafficking operations through data correlation and analysis.

 

 

 

2.   Investigation Support:

o        Assist GDA law enforcement by providing intelligence on suspected trafficking cases.

o        Develop intelligence reports and briefings to support ongoing investigations and prosecutions.

o        Work with forensic financial analysts to detect fraudulent labor practices and illicit financial transactions.

 

 

 

3.   Stakeholder Collaboration:

o       Partner with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, as well as non-governmental organizations.

o       Provide intelligence briefings and training sessions to stakeholders on identifying labor trafficking indicators.

o       Support multi-agency task forces focused on combating labor exploitation in agriculture.

 

 

 

4.   Risk Assessment & Policy Support:

o       Conduct vulnerability assessments of agricultural supply chains to identify trafficking risks.

o        Provide recommendations for policy and regulatory improvements to mitigate trafficking risks.

 

 

5.   Reporting & Documentation:

o       Maintain accurate records of intelligence findings and case support activities.

o       Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

o        Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in intelligence operations.

 

 

 

 

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION:

 

           Technical Skills:

o        Proficiency in intelligence analysis tools, GIS mapping, and data visualization software.

o        Strong research and investigative skills, including OSINT and database analysis.

 

         Soft Skills:

o        Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

o        Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

o        Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with sensitive information.

 

         Other Requirements:

o        Ability to travel as needed for investigations and stakeholder meetings.

o        A background check will be required.

 

 

 

 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

 

o        Law enforcement or military intelligence background.

o        Experience working with anti-human trafficking organizations.

 

         Education:

o          Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, intelligence studies, agriculture, or a related field.

 

         Experience:

o        Prior experience in intelligence analysis, law enforcement, or human trafficking investigations.

Associate degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of professional job-related experience in criminal intelligence, military intelligence, financial analysis, investigative analysis, and/or in a law enforcement agency. Note: An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted year-over-year.
